Dislocations 2004: Location and Lodging

The conference will be residential at the VVF La Canterelle 'La Bergerie'.
Hence, lodging must be pre-paid at registration !

Gien's peninsula location
- Very close to Saint-Paul de Vence and not far from the Cte d'Azur, the VVF La Canterelle 'La Bergerie' is on top of a hill in the midst of a vast pine forest, an authentic Provence village with little houses roofed with ochre-coloured tiles, and arranged around a main square planted with century-old olive trees.
- 'La Bergerie' is a vacation resort consisting of bungalows. It offers good standard conference facilities. It faces Saint-Paul de Vence, a fortified village famous for its art galleries and museums. It is also close to Nice, Cannes and Grasse.
- Accommodation for all attendees will be available at the site of the conference. Optional lodging should be easily found in Saint-Paul de Vence. But that implies that you have your own car since VVF La Canterelle is a few Km off.

Places to see: Museums and foundations: Maeght at Saint-Paul, Picasso at Antibes, Lger at Biot, Renoir at Cagnes-sur-Mer, Chagall at Nice. Arts and crafts: Biot and its glass-blowers, Vallauris and its potters. Further inland: the hanging villages of Vence, St-Paul, Tourette, Gourdon, Eze, the Verdon and its steep gorges, the gorges of the Cians, the caves of St-Czaire. the waterfalls of Courmes, Demoiselles, and Saut du Loup. Theme parks: Maryneland, Phoenix Park, the Museum of miniatures.
